Tarotscopes – Week of October 30th

Welcome to Tarotscopes – guidance from the cards for the week ahead based on your zodiac sign!

Ready to jump in? Go ahead and read the message this week for your Sun sign, but don’t forget to check your moon and rising as well (especially if you relate to those more). Not sure what those are for you? Visit AstroCafe to find out.

The big Halloween day is almost here! So, what better way to celebrate than to use the Jack-O’-Lantern Tarot by Giuliano Costa and Rachel Paul.

Temperance & The Six of Wands: It’s all about balance and moderation this week, Aries! Take a moment to assess where in your life things feel a bit out of whack. Are you spending a large amount of time or energy in one thing? If so, how ca you balance that out? I know you want things to happen, and they will, but all in good time. Stop of focusing on when, when, when, and find moments of peace and calm – where you’re content just to be.

Work on living in the moment this week, instead of looking towards what’s next. Celebrate the wins, no matter how small. Slow down, so you can see how far you’ve come and all that you’ve accomplished. Be proud, and give yourself a pat on the back.

Challenge for the week: When you find yourself antsy to blaze ahead, engage in a calming activity. Go for a stroll, meditate, practice yoga, journal (and write down what you’ve accomplished or what you’re proud of yourself for), take a bath, cuddle a pet, lay down for a bit, watch the flame dance on a candle, have a cozy drink, or just breathe.

Ace of Wands & Knight of Pentacles: This is a wonderfully balanced week for you, Taurus! First, we have that spark reigniting: an idea that you’re ready to take action on, a new adventure that you’ve prepared for, or that motivation returning and you wanting to do it all. Take the energy when it hits, and run with it!

All that said, know your limits. It’s okay to feel the motivation, but then decide to take things one step at a time. It’s important that you don’t take on too much at once, and instead ensure that you are being careful and taking care of all the little things along the way. That fiery energy wants fast progress, but the earth energy says one thing at a time. Seek balance between productivity and being methodical in your pursuit.

Challenge for the week: What ideas have you been hesitating on? Now is the week to go and try them. Try three new ideas and see what has longevity behind it for you. What makes you feel productive and gives you a sense of stability?

Three of Swords & Five of Pentacles: My-oh-my, we’re feeling all the blahs this week, Gemini! Expect feelings of upset, sadness, disappointment, and perhaps even betrayal. Things didn’t go the way you had wanted, and miscommunications are definitely rearing their ugly head. There may be a tendency to ignore what’s going on, but that’s only going to compound the issue.

Give yourself time and space to process your feelings. There will be moments where you feel stuck in that woe is me, lack mindset, but it’s important that you pull yourself out. Don’t be afraid to talk to someone (not that you ever are, but on a deeper, more emotional level) or ask for help if you need it. Remember, no one can read your mind; they don’t know you’re struggling if you don’t say something.

Challenge for the week: Deal with it. Whether it’s something that needs to be done or something that needs to be said, we’re facing these problems head on this week so we can heal and move forward.

The Hierophant & Ten of Cups: There is a lot of happiness and fulfillment to be found this week, Cancer, but it’ll come from tradition and conventionality. This week, don’t worry about reinventing the wheel. Remember, sometimes there is a certain amount of wisdom in tradition. You will find knowledge in what you initially may see as stuffy or outdated.

What traditions are you incorporating into your life? What helps you create and foster meaningful bonds with others? This is a week of connection. Partake in events with those you love, even if that means planning something for the future. Seek harmony by not rocking the boat, and know that you don’t always have to challenge the thoughts and beliefs of others.

Challenge for the week: When your buttons are being pushed by someone else’s opinions or beliefs, listen instead of argue. Seek answers without challenge.

Judgement & Page of Wands: I know that reflection isn’t your favourite task, Leo, as looking ahead to the next adventure is far more exciting. However, before you figure out what’s next, you first need to understand where you’ve been. Judgement asks you to take a time out for self-evaluation. This isn’t to judge yourself or criticize what you have or haven’t done, but it’s a call to break patterns and stop repeating the mistakes of the past.

Looking back can require some courage, so dig into that part of yourself. Are you excited about where you are or where you’re going in life? What ambitions are you acting upon? Once you’ve seen where you’ve been and where you are, it’s time to be bold and move forward with where you want to go. Say yes, take a risk, and follow those dreams.

Challenge for the week: Make time to reflect. Journal it, voice memo, or just give yourself space to think. Are you following your true ambitions? Are you happy with who you are? If not, what changes can you make? What patterns need breaking?

Nine of Cups & Nine of Wands: Contentment and persistence; you have an interesting balance to strike this week, Virgo. There is a desire for happiness and peace; you’re wanting things to be easy. To go as planned. To just work out. Know that finding this happiness will come with you choosing to put your foot down and boundaries up.

Expect challenges that you’ve faced before to come back. It’s frustrating, sure, but remember that you’re almost there. You are strong and resilient. Your patience will be tested, but persevere. Things will get easier, but you have to keep your guard up and your feet planted firmly on the ground. Don’t give into the fatigue, and make time for the little things in life that bring you joy.

Challenge for the week: When you find yourself frustrated or your patience wearing thin, take a step back and look for all the things that are going right. Don’t be afraid to set firm boundaries, and be strong (even if it’s uncomfortable) when it comes to enforcing them.

Two of Swords & Six of Pentacles: You’re coming up on a crossroads this week, Libra, so prepared to get off the fence, and make a choice. Know that indecision is only going to delay the inevitable. If you don’t choose your path, the universe will choose for you, and let’s be real. It probably won’t be the decision you would have made. So, take agency and control. Weigh your pros and cons. Get more information. But choose.

There’s a desire to be fair, to give of yourself, and to see what you can do for others, and maybe that’s why the decision is difficult. It’s time to see where your time and energy are going – what are you putting yourself into that you’re not getting anything from? It could be a job, a relationship, a hobby – but do you think it’s fair if you’re making the investment and getting no return? (Hint: it’s not). Be kind in your choices, be generous, be fair, but don’t be taken advantage of.

Challenge for the week: Make a chart of where your time and energy is going. Then make a chart of where you want to be spending your time and energy. How can you make adjustments to be in alignment with what you want?

Ten of Wands & Five of Wands: You’re ready to go to battle this week, Scorpio, but you have to admit, you’re kind of tired of it all. Expect the exhaustion to hit, especially as you pile more and more onto your plate. While you are approaching the finish line, what are you carrying that isn’t yours? Remember, you don’t have to prove anything to anyone.

It may feel like you’re competing against the world around you, but know that comparing yourself to others isn’t going to do much good. We’re all on our own unique paths, and you don’t have to do it all on your own. You have a lot of great ideas that are worth sharing. Be assertive, and fight for yourself to be heard. You’ll find that when you do, some of that burden will be lifted off your shoulders.

Challenge for the week: Drop some of what you’re carrying or ask for help. While you may think that you’re the only one who can do it properly, let someone else carry the weight. I promise the world won’t fall apart.

The Emperor & The Wheel of Fortune: It’s a battle between control and flow this week, Sagittarius. There’s a call to step into your power. To rule your kingdom, and ensure that things are going as planned. It requires you to be focused, and disciplined as you lean into the stability that you’ve created in your life.

While there may be a desire to control outcomes (or other things beyond your influence), know that you’ll fare better by loosening the reins – just a little. Yes, protect yourself. Yes, stay focused on your goals. But know that change is on its way (and usually it is for the better, even if it’s uncomfortable in the moment), and there’s not a whole lot you can do to stop it. So, get on board, and allow things to come to you.

Challenge for the week: Examine the structures you have created in your life. What would happen if they were no longer there? How could you adjust to make your environment work for you versus spiraling out of control?

Six of Swords Reversed & The Chariot: While the urge to persist is strong, Capricorn, this is a week of acceptance. There’s a desire to run away from dealing with things right now or turning a blind eye (because hey, if you don’t see it, it’s not there). But it’s catching up and you can’t stay stuck in the past forever. Work on letting go of that baggage; drop it into the river so you can move forward.

Sometimes to move on, we have to be determined to do so. Know that if you face what you’re running from head on, you will get through it. Victory and success can be yours, but they come through willpower and knowing what road you want to take. You are in the driver’s seat. Don’t let anyone convince you otherwise.

Challenge for the week: Take a good. hard look directly into the eyes of what you know you’re trying to avoid. Accept it for what it is. Decide to move beyond it, and take steps towards doing just that.

Knight of Cups & Ten of Pentacles: You were called to examine your emotions last week, Aquarius, and with that Knight of Cups coming up reversed, we’re still giving into some moodiness. This may cause you to avoid conflict like the plague (whether internal or with others), but if you want to find that firm footedness, you’ll have to figure them out. Don’t give into your idealism, or you will end up being disappointed, which is only going to add fuel to the fire.

There is a desire for stability; to feel like the winds aren’t going to change your circumstance (or mood), and to feel safe in where you are. Invest in yourself and your journey. See where you have abundance in life, and celebrate it. The big question to ponder this week is what is your mark? What is your legacy? And what can you do to get there?

Challenge for the week: Do not run from conflict. While there may be a desire to keep the peace, stability will be found in dealing with it.

Page of Swords & Queen of Cups: I actually love this week for you, Pisces! We have curiosity and intelligence, meshing with emotional maturity and intuition. This is the week to ask your questions and seek your answers, but realize that many lie within your own heart. Look before you leap, and think things through before you act. Express yourself fully and wholeheartedly, but allow the words to simmer first.

Trust yourself and your intuition. There is a strong desire to take care of others, but remember to fill your cup first. It’s not selfish, it’s necessary. Be honest with how you’re feeling, and channel those more uncomfortable emotions into a healthy outlet; if you don’t, you’ll find yourself going down the rabbit hole. Remember, the Queen of Cups is the master of the emotional realm; this is what you’ll need to find what you’re seeking.

Challenge for the week: Seek the answers to questions you have, but before asking others, first look within. Calm your mind, and listen to your heart. It will not lead you astray.
