One of the more difficult aspects of learning tarot is understanding what the card represents throughout different facets of the human experience. In this new series, Through Different Lenses, we explore what cards mean in various situations.
We’re starting off strong with the fifteenth card of the Major Arcana: the Devil.
What are my thoughts on tarot and where am I coming from in my approach to the cards and reading in general? There are so many different ways to view tarot cards, but after years of practice, this is where I’m at.
As a tarot reader, I do think it’s important to ask ourselves these questions and figure out where we stand. I also think it’s okay if your answers change with time. We’re (hopefully) constantly learning, growing, and improving our craft.
Happy New Year! As we roll into 2024, we’re leaving the collective year of the Chariot behind and heading into the year of Strength. Let’s take a deep dive into the Strength card so we know how to best utilize its advice for this year.
But first, why Strength? If we add the numbers in the year together (2 + 0 + 2 + 4) we get the number 8. In the Rider Waite Smith tarot deck, Strength is the 8th card. In this post, we’ll continue to explore aspects of the card including:
