Packaged in a gorgeous holographic box to match the silver gilded edges, the Fountain Tarot was created by Jonathan Saiz and Andi Todaro, accompanied by an insightful guidebook written by Jason Gruhl. The deck contains the standard 78 tarot cards with a matte finish, along with a bonus card – The Fountain. This edition is from 2014, before the deck went to mass market production in 2017.
This is a deck that I always find relaxing to work with, and while the art is different from a standard Rider Waite Smith deck, the symbolism and emotion is still present. Many of the cards seem to be inspired by celebrities and people present in the artist’s life. My personal favourite is the Seven of Pentacles, which looks just like Gordon Ramsey.
