Instead of fighting them, ground yourself in the physical world: breathe, move your body, and get the thoughts out instead of holding them in.
Question: When you start to get trapped in your thoughts, ask yourself: is this a problem that needs solving, or a thought that needs release? Is this something that is in my control?
