Tarotscopes - Week of December 29th

Goodbye, 2025. And hello, 2026.

I hope you enjoyed your holidays, and have a chance this week to slow down a bit and reflect on the last year. I know it’s been a roller coaster for many, with big shifts and changes.

2025 marked the year of the Hermit, where many people set aside to disconnect, to go within, and figure out who they were, and what path they wanted to be on. It was a great year for introspection, and coming to realizations, which isn’t always easy – but is necessary for growth.

As we move into 2026, the year of the Wheel of Fortune, we’ll see more shifts and changes, likely on a larger scale. This is the year to align yourself energetically with who and where you want to be. To get into a state of flow with the realization that there are so many elements of this world that are beyond our control. Attune your attention to what you want more of in life. And remember, we’re never at the top or the bottom of the wheel forever; let the cycles turn, and as they due, appreciate and accept the spoke you’re on.

Our deck this week is the Oracle of Many Paths by James R. Eads. What’s really cool about this deck is that it can be used in many ways, so while you won’t see the traditional tarot names on the cards, it can be read as a tarot deck… which is exactly what I did.

A few announcements and reminders:

  • The Tarot Lab is officially open. If you join before January 11th, you’ll get a discount off your membership for as long as you are an active member. I’ll be sharing more about the Tarot Lab on social media, but if you have any questions, just send me a message or schedule a chat! I’d love to see you there if it’s right for you!
  • Prices for tarot services are going up on January 1st. Any readings booked before then (even if they take place in the new year) will be at the current price. Book now to get in at the current rate!
  • The next Tarot Practice Session is on December 30th at 7:30pm EST. We’re doing fun and games, so … come have some fun!

For last time this year, remember to check your sun, moon, and rising signs to see what resonates most with you at this time. If you’re unsure of what that means for you, you can calculate your natal chart at AstroCafe.

♈︎ - Aries

The World: A perfect card for the last week of the year. This week, recognize the projects, patterns, and lessons that you’ve completed. See how they fit into your life, and how they’ve shaped you into the person you have become. It’s important to remember that wholeness is cultivated from within; through presence, awareness, and acknowledging your own progress and growth. Take time to honour your achievements, your resilience, and the wisdom you’ve gained through challenges. Bring all of this forward into the new year as they are skills you’ve learned, that will continue to serve you.

What to leave in 2025: The belief that you need to achieve just one more thing before you’re allowed to feel complete. Wholeness is present even when there are things still in motion.

♉︎ - Taurus

Five of Swords: Not all battles are worth fighting (and this can apply internally, and externally). When you find moments of conflict and tension this week, take a moment to step back. It may feel like you need to defend your perspective or prove your point, but bring awareness to the added stress and friction that brings into your life. There is power in discerning which fights are truly worth your energy and which ones leave you drained. Seek a comfortable balance between protecting your boundaries and maintaining harmony. Victory often comes not from external triumph, but from acting with integrity, clarity, and grace.

What to leave in 2025: The need to prove yourself at the expense of connection or your own peace. There will always be those people who don’t get it, and it’s not always your job to explain it to them.

♊︎ - Gemini

Two of Cups: Lean into the meaningful connections in your life; the relationships where you can be open and honest about who you are, and what you need. Where you don’t have to wear a mask, and can show up with honesty, and vulnerability. Remember to give to your relationships as much as you receive; listen with an open heart, and share your emotions without putting up barriers. It can feel like a risk to put yourself out there in such a way, but remember that mutual support, understanding and growth are the keys to success.

What to leave in 2025: The expectation that every connection must be perfect or always go smoothly; it’s time to let go of shallow connections that do nothing to fill your cup.

♋︎ - Cancer

Two of Swords: When you come to a crossroads, whether in big decisions or just the every day humdrum, don’t give away your power by not making a choice. While it’s easy to get stuck with avoidance or overthinking, you’re keeping yourself from moving forward. Weigh your options, gather more information if you need it, ask questions, but choose, and get on with your life. Realize that sometimes, understanding doesn’t come immediately. There are moments where we need to take that leap, and the clarity comes in the aftermath of our choices.

What to leave in 2025: The habit of avoiding tough choices out of fear of discomfort. Remember, not choosing is still a choice.

♌︎ - Leo

The Moon: When we’re outside at night, the world takes on a completely different landscape. This week, consider where things may not be quite as they seem. Slow down, and bring extra awareness to where your thoughts and imagination are running wild; are they making things more difficult or bigger than they truly are? Navigate uncertainties by leaning in to your emotions and your intuition. Realize that we don’t always need to see in order to be guided forward; recognize that clarity often comes through embracing the unknown.

What to leave in 2025: The fear of the unknown or the need for absolute certainty before moving forward. Trust yourself and follow your intuition when you feel lost in the dark.

♍︎ - Virgo

Four of Swords: Slow down this week, and take intentional time to disconnect, and get some rest. The laundry can wait an extra day, and there’s no need to push for quick choices or decisions. Instead of throwing yourself straight into the new year, make space for reflection so that you can process your experiences, and recharge the battery. So much of the time the way forward can only be found in moments of stillness. Release any guilt you feel around taking a moment of pause; rest now, so that you have the clarity and energy to take 2026 by storm.

What to leave in 2025: The pressure to keep going without pause or reflection, and the idea that stopping means being unproductive.

♎︎ - Libra

Seven of Swords: This week calls for strategy and adaptability, especially when trying to navigate challenges and delicate situations. Use your mental agility; be clever, discerning, and not afraid to protect your energy, time, and resources. Act in a way that still maintains your integrity; be on what you consider the right side of things. Know that sometimes, the path of least resistance is the best way to go. And while this isn’t saying to throw someone else under the bus, know that there’s nothing wrong with looking out for yourself. If you don’t, who will?

What to leave in 2025: The habit of overthinking or making things harder on yourself when there is an easier path. Flexibility and strategy, and adaptability will help you overcome difficult situations.

♏︎ - Scorpio

Three of Cups: Take time this week to ring in the new year with friends and communities that see you and love you for exactly who you are (and you likewise them). Carve out time to laugh, make memories, and share in moments of both happiness and camaraderie. Lift each other up, and celebrate your wins. Beyond the celebration itself, take notice of the subtle ways that these connections shape your life. Remember that your laughter, presence, and acknowledgement can be just as meaningful as grand gestures.

What to leave in 2025: The idea that you have to go it alone and the habit of keeping things to yourself when you have a beautiful support system in place.

♐︎ - Sagittarius

Queen of Cups: Lead with your heart this week, and allow the decisions you make to come from a place of empathy, compassion and kindness.  Sensitivity is a strength to lean into; but be sure to maintain healthy boundaries as you can’t fill from an empty cup. As much as you give and nurture others, turn that inwards and give the same to yourself. Make space to process your emotion and embrace your depth without judgement. Remember, that emotional intelligence and resilience is a sour of power – not weakness.

What to leave in 2025: The idea that you need to over give to be loved or accepted, and beliefs that sensitivity is weakness.

♑︎ - Capricorn

Six of Pentacles: Take a mindful approach this week to sharing and receiving, with the understanding that energy flows in both directions. If you’re in a place to give, be generous with your time, energy, experience, and resources. Give without expectation, and from a place of gratitude. If things have been a little more difficult as of late, accept help graciously, and without guilt. It’s essential to create balance between the two; knowing that no matter what end you’re on, there’s a need for a conscious exchange. If your exchanges are always one-sided, consider how much value they add to your life.

What to leave in 2025: The belief that generosity is only about giving, without accepting support in return. Both sides are needed for true balance.

♒︎ - Aquarius

Queen of Wands: Amp up your fire this week; step into your confidence, creativity, and authentic self-expression. Pursue the passions that create an internal spark, and take up opportunities to express your unique thoughts, ideas, and way of being. Follow your enthusiasm, and hold space for others to do the same. So often when we step up, and be our authentic selves, we encourage others to do the same. Be bold in your actions, strong in your convictions, and inspiring in the way show up in the world. Share your fire with others; this is where you will truly thrive.

What to leave in 2025: The fear that your ambitions or confidence might overshadow others or that you need to dim yourself to fit in.

♓︎ - Pisces

Eight of Pentacles: Stay focused, dedicated, and steadfast in your effort to level up a skill, or in your personal growth. Know that it takes time and consistency to hone a craft; so keep going – persevere, and pay attention to the find details. There’s nothing wrong with investing in getting better at something, whether that’s buying a book, setting aside time, hiring a mentor, or taking a course. Focus, patience, and diligence will help you reach your goal, and it will be worth it in the long run. Progress might be slow, but it’s there and will only continue to build.

What to leave in 2025: The belief that progress is only valid if it’s fast or publicly recognized; the idea that investing in your own journey is a waste of resources.
